Manchester City set to sign Wolfsburg's Edin Dzeko, say reports

Summary:

Manchester City are competing for the Premier League title. To increase their chances of winning they want to buy the Bosnian striker Edin Dzeko who is currently playing for Wolfsburg (Germany). The fee for the striker should be around €40m (£34m).Manchester City will pay a fee of €30m for the striker, followed by €5m if they qualify for the Champions League this season and an extra €5m is required for the signing-on fee and to pay agents. The current manager Roberto Mancini had made no secrets of the plans. "We have the chance to win the league this year and the decisive factor could be Edin Dzeko," he said yesterday. "This player can decide titles and that is why we want him." The Bosnian striker wanted to leave the German football club last season but did not get the chance, with Manchester City closing in he should leave soon. Last season Dzeko was the top scorer in the Budesliga, and this season he made 10 so far, taking his overall to 66 goals in 111 games for the club.

Opinion:

Dzeko should definitely play for Manchester City. They are growing as a club and showed that they are competitors for the title this season. They already have three good strikers (Adebayor, Tevez and Balotelli), but the season is long and there are still many games to play. Considering he is a great striker, he will certainly get enough playtime.
